Window film specifications
Light, glare, UV and heat figures for every car and home film we cut, by shade. All films block 99% of UV.
What the numbers mean
- Light in
- Visible light transmitted (VLT): how much daylight gets through. Lower is darker.
- Reflected
- Visible light reflected from the outside (VLER): higher looks more mirror-like.
- UV blocked
- Ultraviolet rejected (UVR), which causes fading and skin damage.
- Heat rejected
- Total solar energy rejected (TSER): how much of the sun's heat the glass and film keep out.
- Shading coefficient
- (Home films) Heat let in compared with plain glass: lower is cooler.
- Glare reduced
- (Home films) How much glare is cut compared with plain glass.
